Preston Ray Garrett - family law in Oxford, MS
Ray is the senior partner of Garrett Friday & Garner. He is a native of nearby Pontotoc County but has called Oxford home since enrolling in Ole Miss upon graduating from West Union Attendance Center in Union County.
Ray is a graduate of Ole Miss, having earned his B. A. with a triple major in English, history and political science. After completing his undergraduate studies he enrolled in both the University of Mississippi School of Law and the University of Mississippi School of Business through the joint J.D. / M.B.A. program. After graduation, Ray opened his own practice in Oxford and has been representing clients in North Mississippi for over two decades. During this time he has also taught classes at both the University of Mississippi and Northwest Mississippi Community College. Ray is also honored to write a column for the Oxford Eagle and to have been asked by the Lafayette County Board of Supervisors to serve on the Lafayette County Planning Commission. Ray and his wife Marcia live in the Lafayette Springs community with their two children and attend Yellow Leaf Baptist Church.
